STF offers Technical Assistance, Skills Transfer and Implementation Funding with a focus on Africa.
Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation and Company have been in the forefront of supporting programmes aimed to prevent, manage and mitigate HIV and AIDS in Africa since 1999. In that time we have supported catalytic programmes and innovations in 22 African countries and we have strived to stay ahead of the pandemic as well as respond timely to community and patients’ needs. In this journey of more than 15 years we have moved from grant making to programme development and management to providing technical assistance and a unique south-south skill transfer model and promoting integrated care for People Living with HIV with a focus on paediatrics, mental health, disabilities, Tuberculosis and cervical and breast cancers.
As the epidemic continues to evolve on the continent so is the strategy of the Foundation, the time has come for Secure the Future to look into the health needs of African populations and health systems impacted by HIV and the growing burden of Non-communicable disease especially cancers and cardio vascular.
New programme focus areas and guidelines will be available in January 2017.
